Google's Re-Release of the 2001 Search Index

Today, in celebration of Google's 10th birthday, Google posted on their homepage a link to the search index of 2001. The first thought that came to my mind after a few search queries is: "boy, things have changed!" 1800flowers.com was actually ranking #2nd for the term "flowers," and "Proflowers" was ranking near the bottom of the same page, WOW!!

All funniness aside, there wasn't very many florists online back in those days. In fact, FTD's Florist Online Program was barely off the ground and FTD.Com was predominately featuring their "Find a Florist" link in the navigational area of their website.

Indeed, times have changed.
