The Stealth of 1800flowers.com

I’ve always considered the SEO work done for 1800flowers.com to be far superior compared to the work I’ve seen for other floral entities. In that regard, you will often find me talking less about 1800flowers.com and more about other floral entities because other companies tend to stick out like sore thumbs (e.g. Flowerpetal.com, Proflowers.com, FTD.com etc...)

I don’t know if any of you read my post on organic fishing regarding my first fly fishing experience and not knowing the difference between a Sucker Fish & Steelhead, but as somebody who has been involved in ranking websites since 1999 I can tell you the SEO work done for 1800flowers.com is often times stealth.

What do I mean? Well, remember my Christmas Flowers post on the current link campaign for FTD.com, now compare that to what you see from 1800flowers.com and their link-votes that occur on these pages:

http://www.analogik.org/christmas-gift-basket.html

http://www.globalpcn.com/christmas-gift-baskets.html

http://www.brisbanestudentrooms.com/christmas-flowers.html

The difference is almost like night and day. The pages above are completely in context with the links that are embedded in the paragraphs not to mention the links are spread out through the entire article.

Google would have a difficult time trying to find fault here.
